Challenges, babies, and hard work

This morning was one of those days when everyone appeared to awaken in a bad mood.

Whether it was simply the weather, tiredness or the devil's hand, everyone snapped, snarled, shouted and generally upset everyone else. By late morning, all five of us were in tears in the front room. We decided to have a cuddle, have a snuggle, have some Christmas cake and put on a praise tape. We reminded each other how much we loved each other, and what was really important - God, love and family.

Having all recovered, though still somewhat shaky emotionally, we packed up into the car to go and visit my brother and his wife. They are expecting their first child in March and were keen to pick our brains about babies, bottles and breastfeeding.

We spent a lovely couple of hours with them, then drove home. We had fajitas for dinner, as a treat, followed by Eton-Mess (strawberries, cream and meringue). Yum!

Dh then sat down with the three boys whilst they did some "learning" whilst I caught up with emails, website updates and some planning.

Today has definately been a long day! Time for cocoa and quiet I think.
