Riding the Wave

Wow, are we on a roll here!

Samuel's imagination had been fired yesterday, suddenly, for some reason, into the idea of having a blog. So today we set one up.

I'm really proud of him! He insisted on doing all the typing himself; a somewhat painful (for me!) process that has seen him spend nearly 3 hours on the pc. By the end of it, his spelling was brilliant and I was hardly correcting anything. He is also getting the hang of capitals, paragraphs and punctuation.

I'm over the moon!

With kids, and boys, and especially kids with aspergers, it is all about them being INTERESTED. Now he is switched on, for as long as it lasts, he is on FIRE and learning at top speed.

Of course, you know what is coming next... William is going to want one! He asked "have I got the story of MY life on the computer?"!

Even better though, Samuel said just at bed time "oh no, I hadn't done my math" and when I said that it didn't matter, as he had done a lot of work today he said "but I want to do more! I want to do as many hours as I did at school!"

I'm definately going to ride this wave until it spends itself!
