Thank You Dave Hill

.. for today's brilliant article on the front page of the "Family" paper supplement in the Guardian.

Dave showed respect for our family, as well as our convictions, in reporting on his morning with us with accuracy, and an obvious interest. It is a well balanced, very well written account which I sincerely hope will help to change the public perception of home education, and the families that chose this route.

Thank you to Carlotta for having paved the way in connecting with Dave via her blog in the first instance, which led to his interest in writing this piece.

What a great article! I looked in vain for the traditional 'balance' quote from a teacher's union spokesperson or LA employee, but it wasn't there! Now that's a first.

You all came across really well.

(I've left the paper on prominent display on my coffee table, so my Dad will read it when he's looking after Duncan this week.)
