I managed to get some cooking done today and tried out some new ideas.
Trying to find some nice gluten free snacks for the boys to have over Christmas time, I tried to recreate some of their favourite things that they miss.
First off, I made some Gluten Free Sausage Rolls, using my recipe (from our family site) for Flaky Pastry and for Sausage Meat. I have to say, they taste great and the pastry is brilliant.
Then I used some more of the meat to make Scotch Eggs. We haven't tasted these yet, as we are going to have them cold, so I'll let you know!
I then used the remaining meat to make "Wall's Balls" for the boys. They really liked those, so I made balls out of the sausage meat, dipped them in gf flour, then beaten egg, then gf breadcrumbs. They baked for about 20 minutes on 200c and were a HUGE hit with the boys!
